COBRA Updates

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As part of the economic stimulus package, if you were involuntarily terminated between September 1, 2008, and December 31, 2009, and your annual income does not exceed $125,000 for an individual or $250,000 for a family, you may qualify for subsidies to cover 65 percent of the cost of health insurance premiums under COBRA for as long as nine months. The guides to find health coverage do not yet reflect this change.

ACTUALIZACIÓN IMPORTANTE: Como parte del paquete de estímulo económico, si has sido despedido involuntariamente entre el 1 de septiembre de 2008, y el 31 de diciembre de 2009, y tu ingreso anual no exceda $125,000 para un individuo o $250,000 para una familia, usted podría calificar para subsidios que cubran el 65 por ciento del costo de las primas de seguro de salud bajo COBRA por hasta nueve meses.
