View PublicationIn a June 30, 2009, interview with the Web site, Big Think, RWJF President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, M.D., M.B.A., said that "we may be raising the first generation of kids who live sicker and die younger than their parents."
That led the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop a strategy to reduce the epidemic of childhood obesity by 2015 which has engaged the business sector, the food industry, schools and government. The goal, she said, is not just to reduce the numbers, but to reverse the trend.
