Pregnant women and children who are legal resident aliens.
Eligibility
Pregnant women (up to 60 days after the last day of the pregnancy) and children who are lawfully residing in the U.S. and who are otherwise eligible for coverage under a state's Medicaid or SCHIP program.

Medicaid and SCHIP.
Type of coverage
Coverage would include the benefits defined in each state's Medicaid or SCHIP plan, whichever is applicable.
Premiums
Premiums, if any, would be as defined in each state's Medicaid or SCHIP plan, whichever is applicable.
Financing
Federal/state match, as applicable, under Medicaid or SCHIP. Would not change state SCHIP allocations.
Effective date
Effective on or after October 1, 2008 or October 1, 2007 (H.R. 1308 and S. 764).
